ChromeMate
EZ
Lean XL also contains chromium in its biologically active form, known
as Glucose Tolerance Factor (GTF). GTF is a niacin bound compound that
is necessary for proper carbohydrate and lipid metabolism. This
biologically active chromium is not readily available from the foods we
eat, and research by the USDA has shown that 90% of all Americans are
deficient in this vital nutrient.
Symptoms
of chromium deficiency include elevated blood sugar levels, elevated
blood lipids (cholesterol and triglycerides), hypertension, hyper
insulemia, sugar cravings and obesity.
The
human body can produce insulin, but the co-factor (GTF), necessary for
proper insulin function, must be provided to the body on a daily basis.
Improper insulin function because of the lack of GTF contributes to a
plethora of health problems.
All
chromium supplements are not GTF and most supplements that do contain
GTF chromium do not have enough per daily serving to provide the body
what it needs. EZ Lean XL contains 100% of the RDA of GTF chromium, and
should be made part of everyones daily regimen.
Guarana
Guarana
seed is a potent South American energy food with numerous health
benefits. For thousands of years, native Amazonians have used the seed
extract of the guarana berry to help maintain stamina and physical
endurance. Guarana is a stimulating tonic that is believed to improve
physical stamina and endurance. The guarana content is almost identical
to caffeine in its actions. Athletes have also been known to take it to
stimulate and improve their performance and increase their strength and
endurance. It is also thought to reduce fatigue and exhaustion.
White
Willow Bark
The
glycoside salicin found in willow bark is used by the body to produce
salicylic acid and is thought to be responsible for the
anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving effects of willow bark
supplements. While the analgesic
actions
of willow are usually slow to develop, they may last longer than the
effects produced by taking over-the-counter aspirin.
Citrus
Aurantium
Synephrine
is the main "active" compound found in the fruit of a plant called
citrus aurantium. The fruit is also known as zhi shi (in traditional
Chinese medicine) and as green orange, sour orange and bitter orange in
other parts of the world. Synephrine is chemically very similar to the
ephedrine in a number of weight loss and energy supplements which
contain ma huang.

metabolic rate

caloric expenditure

fat
- Promotes
weight loss
- Increases
energy levels
Because
synephrine is a stimulant, similar to caffeine and ephedrine,
it is thought to have similar effects in terms of providing an energy
boost, suppressing appetite and increasing metabolic rate and caloric
expenditure. In traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), zhi shi is used to
help stimulate the Qi (energy force). Although synephrine and several
other compounds found in zhi shi are structurally similar to ephedrine
and are known to act as stimulants (via adrenergic activity), zhi shi
does not appear to have the same negative central nervous effects of ma
huang (ephedra).Through its stimulation of specific adrenergic
receptors (beta-3, but not beta-1, beta-2 or alpha-1), zhi shi is
theorized to stimulate fat metabolism without the negative
cardiovascular side effects experienced by some people with ma
huang
(which stimulates all beta-adrenergic receptors).
The
effect of synephrine generally falls into the category of acting as a
mild stimulant. The extract of citrus aurantium, in addition to
synephrine, also contains tyramine and octopamine. Octopamine may be
related in some way to appetite control, as it is thought to influence
insect behavior by stopping bugs from eating the citrus fruit.
