ENZYMES
The Miracle of Life!

|
- Breaking down food
particles enabling them to pass through the intestinal wall and enter the blood stream.<>
- Transforming tiny food
nutrient particles into tissue found in muscles, nerves, organs, glands, etc.
- Contributing to the
process that stores sugar in the liver and muscle tissue.
- Enabling mineral
molecules to link up with blood cells.
- Helping to detoxify our
blood and tissues by enabling our immune system to attack foreign material.
- Directing metabolism on a
cellular level and converting food to energy, which fuels virtually every biologic mechanism of the body.
Enzymes
are indeed the spark plug of
life, yet it is important to understand that the average American diet
is enzyme-deficient. Refined and processed foods, as well as cooking at
high temperatures, destroy enzymes. A diet which consists primarily of
cooked food is undoubtedly seriously lacking in enzymes. Raw, uncooked
foods are laden with enzymes. They are present to help digest the very
food they are found in. Unfortunately, most of the enzymes in food are
destroyed when the food is cooked, steamed, microwaved or baked.
When enzyme reserves become depleted,
we place large amounts of unnecessary stress on body organs like the
pancreas, liver and lymph system. Enzyme deficiency contributes greatly
to acidification of the body. Without sufficient enzymes, foods and
proteins go undigested, and eventually ferment in the body, causing
toxicity and acid overload. Research studies strongly suggest that
significant numbers of people with liver disease, high blood pressure,
arteriosclerosis, tuberculosis and even obesity have low tissue enzyme levels.
Even if your body has a sufficient
quantity of enzymes to operate, these enzymes require specific pH
environments in order to function. When the pH of the environment is
too acidic, vital enzymes lose their structure and function and
electrons cannot circulate, making them unavailable for the chemical
reactions required for nutrient digestion and absorption. Without the
proper pH, enzymatic reactions fail and the metabolism of cells
stops.

necessary for optimal health. BioZyme also works synergistically with
all of our other products that help to create the correct pH Balance in
your body. BioZyme works best when drinking water treated with O2
proformance Hydration Coral Calcium.
BioZyme Systemic
Enzyme Therapy
The
principle of systemic enzyme
therapy depends on the absorption of enzymes as intact molecules, and
preservation of their biological effects after oral consumption. The
enzyme supplement must be able to resist gastric secretion, to prevent
destruction by the stomach acid. Once in the intestines, the enzyme
molecules will be absorbed into the blood. In the blood, enzymes do not
exist in a free form but are bound to a carrier in order to protect
themselves from negative interactions with other molecules. The blood
and lymph systems eventually deliver the active enzymes to their site
of action. This process is referred to as "systemic action." The
BioZyme formula includes systemic enzymes that function and flow
throughout your entire body, in every system, tissue, and organ.
BioZyme also contains digestive enzymes to address all facets of
digestion for the three main food groups; proteins, carbohydrates and
fats.
BioZyme’s Digestive
Enzymes
Serrazimes™ is a
proteolytic enzyme
that digests dead and damaged tissue, blood clots, cysts, and arterial
plaque. It helps to support cardiovascular, joint, respiratory, and
immune system health.
Bromelain is taken from the
stem of the
pineapple plant, this enzyme helps to breakdown proteins. Bromelain is
most notable for its therapeutic effectiveness in the reduction of
inflammation and decreasing swelling.
Papain is extracted from
the papaya fruit; this enzyme splits protein peptides to powerfully
digest protein foods.
Lipase breaks down fats
into fatty acids and glycerol.
Amylase works to breakdown
starch, glycogen and specific polysaccharides.
Protease is a digestive
enzyme secreted by the pancreas that metabolizes carbohydrates, starch
and protein.
Cellulase breaks down
cellulose and glucans found in fiber foods.
Lactase breaks down lactose
found in milk products.
